Piano

All right, your child is determined to play the piano or guitar. Now what? Which one will fit better, individual or group lessons?

GROUP LESSONS

At first, a private lesson may seem to offer better teaching than a group lesson, but there are some instances where a group lesson may be preferable. Sometimes a particular teacher only offers group lessons and that teacher may be the best one for your child.

Group lessons are also frequently less expensive than individual lessons. This can be an important consideration for families on a tight budget. Guitar, vocal, piano classes are often conductive to a group setting. For advanced students, however, individual instruction is a must.

Many instruments can be practiced at low volumes. This is helpful when practice must be done while others are around. Electric keyboards have volume controls and electric guitars can be played without the amplifier turned on.
